Learn to Analyze RNAseq and ChIPseq Data

The NGS Integrative Genomics Core Unit (NIG) and the Core Facility Medical Biometry and Statistical Bioinformatics (MBSB) are jointly conducting an introductory course on analysing data from RNAseq and ChIPseq experiments.

This course has two main aims:

  • Theoretical background along with basic statistical concepts
    • for RNAseq: from data QC to differentially expressed gene lists and functional enrichment
    • for ChIPseq: from data QC to motif discovery
  • Hands on session using the open source Galaxy platform (web based, gwdg installation) to perform the analyses on publicly available data sourced from NCBI-SRA
