Short instruction waiting area in Matrix-Chat

The Scientific Core Facility Medical Biometry and Statistical Bioinformatics also offers short consulting online. Please contact us during the regular consultation period by visiting our waiting room:

1. The following link leads to our waiting room: shortconsulting_waitingroom.
2. Select one of the apps you would like to use to enter the waiting room. We recommend using ‘Element’ in the browser.
3. Select “anmelden” if you have an Academic ID.
4. Edit the so-called “Heimserver” and enter: “chat.umg.eu” (for UMG employee accounts) or “chat.uni-goettingen.de” (for student accounts or employee accounts of other faculties).
5. Log in with your Academic ID.
6. Confirm that you trust “Element”.
7. When you log in for the first time, you will be asked to create a security key. You will need this security key later whenever you want to log in from another device or another browser.
8. After logging in to Matrix, you may not see the waiting room immediately. Please select “An Diskussion teilnehmen” to enter the room.
9. You can now send us a message during the regular consultation period. We will then send you a link for an online meeting.
